The Veil

Joey Hill, wife of a police detective, discovers her neighbor’s secret creation – a device that can pierce the Veil; the barrier between the human and supernatural realms.

 

Her investigation into the Veil leads to the Vatican sending priests to apprehend her. A demonic chimney sweep attempts to locate the device for his own evil plans for humanity. After obtaining the device, Joey tries to convince her husband that the chimney sweep, Cecil, is not who he appears to be, but he brushes off her concerns. Then an FBI agent warns Joey that the device is dangerous and must be turned in.   

 

As Cecil’s tactics to obtain the device become more menacing, Joey takes the FBI agent into her confidence. Cecil steals the device from Joey. Joey’s husband disappears leaving Joey, a priest and the FBI agent to take on Cecil. A major fight takes place and Cecil is dragged back to Hell. As Joey prepares to destroy the device, her husband appears with a gun, demanding that she give him the device. He’s convinced it can make him rich. Joey refuses until the husband threatens to kill the Agent. Joey jumps in front of the Agent, taking the bullet meant for him. Her husband grabs the device but gets dragged to Hell.   

 

Finale – A year later – Joey is out on her porch. The neighbor’s house is gone. The FBI agent arrives with coffee for Joey. A romantic relationship is budding. As the couple enjoy each other’s company, they hear the strange music associated with the chimney sweep’s truck. The music grows louder. The couple look at each other, not sure what will happen next.
